ITALIA APRUEBA UN NUEVO

El Gobierno de Italia aprobó un nuevo proyecto de ley para el
mercado nacional de arroz el 5 de julio de 2016, según fuentes locales.
"Habrá un mayor apoyo del sector a través de la
protección de las variedades típicas de Italia, y un apoyo para la mejora
genética de nuevas variedades; la mejora en la producción de arroz como
expresión de la cultural y del medio ambiente italiano; defensa de los
consumidores; una institución para el registro de las nuevas variedades, la
regulación del sistema y la selección de una autoridad especializada para
multar ". El proyecto de ley también tiene como objetivo promover sistemas
voluntarios de trazabilidad del arroz con instrumentos innovadores para que los
consumidores sepan sobre el origen del producto. Asimismo, se pretende crear un nuevo sistema informativo para el arroz
orgánico(SIB) con el objetivo de simplificar los procedimientos
burocráticos.

On July 5, 2016, the Italian
Government approved a new bill for the national rice market, according to local
sources.
"There will be a larger support to
the sector through the protection of Italian typical varieties, and to support the
genetic improvement of new varieties; the improvement of the production of rice
as an expression of the Italian culture and environment; the defense of
consumers; an place for the registrarion of new varieties; the regulation of
the system and the election of an authority capable of applying fines”. The
bill also has as an object the promotion of voluntary traceability systems for
rice with innovative instruments, so that consumers will know the origin of the
product. The new law will create a new registration
system for organic rice (SIB) for
the simplification of bureaucratic procedures.
