“Entre ahora y el fin del año, nosotros importaremos jengibre orgánico del
Perú”, dice Luis Orrantia de la Tropical Specialists. “No hay dudas de que la
calidad del jengibre orgánico del Perú se diferencia del producido de otros
países. Es realmente una especialidad con un sabor único”, añade Orrantia. El
produco del Perú es más liviano y con más aroma que el jengibre de China, por

La temporada del jengibre orgánico del Perú se presenta muy prometedora y
Orrantia se siente muy confiado sobre la calidad. Tropical Specialists ha estado importando
jengibre orgánico del Perú por tres años. El producto llega en contenedores y
es transportado por vía aérea a través de los EEUU. “Los volúmenes fueron
creciendo en cada uno de los tres años pasados”, informa Orrantia. “La gente
está conociendo los elementos únicos del jengibre orgánico del Perú, lo que va
incrementando la demanda. En promedio estamos despachando uno a dos
contenedores por mes”.

“Between now and the end of
the year, we import organic ginger from Peru,” says Luis Orrantia with Tropical
Specialists. “There is no doubt that the quality of organic ginger from Peru
stands out from other producing countries. It really is a specialty item that
has a unique flavor,” Orrantia added. The product from Peru is thinner and
spicier than ginger from China for instance.
The season for Peruvian
organic ginger looks very promising and Orrantia feels confident about the
quality. Tropical Specialists has been importing organic ginger from Peru for
three years. The product arrives in containers and is shipped by air across the
United States. “Volumes have gone up every year in the past three years,”
shared Orrantia. “Increasingly, people learn about the unique elements of
Peru’s organic ginger, resulting in an increase in demand. On average, we are
shipping one to two containers per month.”
