Si hablamos de cifras, solo en el año 2013, las guerrillas han recibido casi tres millones y medio de euros, de la mano de tres empresas, según informó Global Witness (organización británica sin fines de lucro).” ENVIADO POR: ECOTICIAS.COM / RED / AGENCIAS, 21/07/2015, 10:22 H | (127) VECES LEÍDA Centroáfrica y sus conflictos La República Centroafricana (RCA) fue parte del llamado Congo francés, hasta que en 1960 obtuvo la independencia. Su capital es Bangui, se ubica en el corazón del “continente negro”, tiene 600 mil kilómetros de superficie (100 mil más que España) y unos 5 millones de habitantes. Su minería está sub-explotada, excepto los diamantes, pues hay oro, petróleo y uranio y sus principales recursos son la madera y los cultivos. Es uno de los países más pobres de África y del mundo.

El dinero europeo se emplea en la financiación de conflictos político-religiosos, ya que las grandes madereras pagan cuotas mensuales, peajes y sobornos, con la condición de que sus instalaciones estén a salvo, que sus vehículos circulen con libertad (escoltados por mercenarios contratados entre los mismos milicianos) y que su negocio siga creciendo, sin importarles lo más mínimo el uso que se le dará a su dinero. Según consigna Global Witness en un informe que llamaron: “Madera de Sangre: de cómo Europa contribuyó a financiar la guerra Centroafricana”, las empresas SEFCA (de capital libanés), Vicwood Group (de capital chino) y la francesa IFB controlan la casi totalidad de la explotación de las maderas tropicales de ese país. El 58% de las mismas se vende en tres países: el 32% va a Alemania, el 20% a Francia y el 5% al Reino Unido y el resto se distribuye a un amplio mercado mundial, que según el citado informe incluye a España.

Desde la Unión Europea no solo no se ha vetado el ingreso de maderas de tan sangriento e ilegal origen, sino que se han firmado con la RCA tratados específicos cambiando ventajas arancelarias por garantías a las madereras (camufladas como protección de los bosque tropicales y lucha contra la tala furtiva) que están explotando sin prácticamente ningún control, el segundo pulmón mundial tras la Amazonia.

“Even if the European consumers ignore it, a good part of the tropical lumber that goes to Europe  from Africa and that serve to decorate their homes and/or gardens has costed rivers of blood; and, what it is more alarming, the local wars that cost native lives are being financed with Euros from European companies. Only in 2013 guerrilas have received almost three and a half million eurosfrom three companies, according to a report by Global Witness (a British ONG)”.

The Central African Republic (CAR) has been part of the French Congo until its inedendance in 1960. Its Capital city, Bangu.is located in the heart of the “black continent” with a surface of 600 sq.kilomenters  (100.000 more than Spain) and some 5 million inhabitants. Its mining is under-exploited, except diamonds, because there is gold, oil and uranium, and its principal resource is lumber and crops. It is one of the poorest countries of the world.

European Money is spent in political-religious conflicts. The large lumber companies pay quotas and bribes in order to keep their installations and vehicles circulating safe (esorted by mercenaries contracted among the very militia) and that their business keep growing completely disregarding the use  it is made of their Money. According to a report of Global Witness titled “Bloody Lumber: how Europe contributed financing Center African war”, enterprises such as SEFCA (lebanese capital), Vicwood Group (chinese capital) and the French IFB, control almost all of the country’s tropical lumber. Fifty eight percent of that lumber is sent to Germany, 20% to France and 5% to the UK; the rest is distributed in the world wide market that, acording to the report, includes Spain.

Not only the income of the lumber of such bloody and ilegal origin has not been vetoed by the European Union, but specific agreements have been signed with the CAR exchanging beneficial export tariffs with the guarantee by the lumber companies (camouflaged  as protection of the tropical woods and furtive lumbering) for the exploitation of what is the second world lung after the Amazonia.
