La apuesta por las renovables aparece en un contexto crítico para los hidrocarburos que are unja  de las principales actividades emisoras de gases de dióxido de carbono del país, junto a la agricultura y la deforestación. Patagonia es una fuente inagotable y continua de fuertes vientos, de allí el interés en los inversores en generación de energía eólica.

El Plan RenovAr del gobierno superó las expectativas: de 1000 MW de energía licitados, las ofertas pasaron los 6000 MW. Las tecnologías son variadas pero destacan los aprovechamientos eólicos e hidroeléctricos en la Patagonia.

Esta vez, las energías limpias tienen su oportunidad para consolidarse dentro de la matriz energética argentina. "Podríamos, en términos teóricos, satisfacer toda la demanda de Sudamérica", se entusiasmó el ex director de Greenpeace y actual diputado nacional del partido gobernante Cambiemos, Juan Carlos Villalonga, en la Expo Viento y Energía. El encuentro fue organizado a mediados de este mes por la Asociación Argentina de Energía Eólica.

The stakes for renewable energies appear in a critical context for fossil fuels that are the main generator of carbonic gases in the country, along with agriculture and deforestation. Patagonia is an inexhaustible source of constant powerful winds, thus the international investment interests in eolic energy generation.

The Government Plan RenovAr surpassed the expectations: of 1000 MW tended, offers were over 6000 MW. The technologies presented were several but the eolic and hydroelectric projects go ahead in Patagonia.

Today clean energies have the chance to consolidate within the Argentine electric matrix. “We could, theoretically at least, satisfy the whole South America’s demand of energy”, let himself be carried away the former director of Greepeace and national representative for Cambiemos, Juan Carlos Villalonga in the Expo Viento y Energía (Wind and Energy Expo). The meeting was organized mid September by the  Asociación Argentina de Energía Eólica (Agentine Association of Eolic Energy).
