El informe sobre la libertad de las semillas se generó gracias a la voluntad de Vandana Shiva, Ruchi Shroff y Caroline Lockhart sobre el estado de los OGM en el 2011. Para crear sistemas de alimentos y agricultura sin productos químicos y OGM, es necesario partir de las semillas. A nivel local, cientos de comunidades, redes y organizaciones, y millones de custodios y defensores de las semillas están trabajando para proteger y mantener a las semillas libres y para combatir las leyes que minan su soberanía. Los autores del nuevo informe están decididos a cambiar este estado de cosas con el fin de crear una alianza global de ciudadanos por la Libertad de las Semillas y conectar a muchas voces alrededor del mundo para ampliar el movimiento para mantener las semillas libres. The report on Freedom for Seeds was generated thanks to the good will of Vandana Shiva, Ruchi Shroff and Caroline Lockhart about the state of the GMOs in 2012. To create food and agricultural systems without chemicals and GMOs it is necessary to start with seeds. At the local level hundreds of communities, networks and organizations, and millions of custodians and defenders of seeds are working to protect and maintain the seeds free and to combat the laws that undermine seed sovereignity. The authors of the new report are decided to change the present state of things and to create a global alliance of citizens for Freedom of Seeds, and connect many voices around the World to expand the movement to maintain seeds free.
