El Departamento de Comercio de los
Estados Unidos anunció oficialmente la revocación de las órdenes antidumping y
medidas compensatorias vigentes para la importación de miel desde Argentina.
Con esta medida, se abre un nuevo
potencial exportador para las mieles nacionales en el mercado norteamericano,
principal comprador mundial de este producto que, en nuestro país, proviene
casi en su totalidad de la agricultura familiar.
Carla Campos Bilbao, Secretaria de
Desarrollo Rural y Agricultura Familiar del Ministerio de Agricultura,
Ganadería y Pesca de la Nación, señaló hoy que “esta es una gran noticia, que
nos permite un nuevo impulso para lograr mejores estándares de comercialización
para los pequeños y medianos productores”.
La revocación comprende la miel
natural, la miel artificial conteniendo más del 50 por ciento de miel natural
por peso, preparaciones de miel natural conteniendo más del 50 por ciento de
miel natural por peso y la miel saborizada.
Argentina es el segundo exportador
mundial de miel y se encuentra entre los cinco principales productores del
mundo. Hasta la investigación de dumping desarrollada por Estados Unidos, ese
país era el principal destino de su exportación, con más del 47 por ciento de
incidencia en las ventas internacionales.
Campos Bilbao afirmó que el objetivo central a
futuro es el de generalizar la exportación de mieles argentinas fraccionadas,
en reemplazo de la comercialización en tambores a granel, debido a que esto
conlleva un importante agregado de valor a la producción local. Así, aseguró
que “el valor más importante de nuestros productos es su calidad y su
diversidad de floración, que dan origen a mieles distintas y muy buscadas en el
mundo”.

THE

The Department
of Commerce of the USA announced officially the revocation of the antidumping
orders and the compensatory measures for import of honney from Argentina.
This means
that this is a new export source for national honney to the North American
market, main World buyer of this product which, in Argentin, it comes mostly from
family agriculture.
Carla
Campos Bilbao, Argentina’s Secretary of Rural Development and Family
Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, pointed
out today that “these are great news that gives further impulse to better
trading standards for the production of small and medium producers”.
The
measure includes natural honney, artificial honney with at least 50% of natural
honney, preparations of natural honney containing over 50% of natural honney by
weight, and saborized honney.
Argentina is
the secon World exporter of honney and is among the World’s five largest
producers. Until the blocking measures were imposed, the US was the main
importing market with over 47% of internacional sales.
Campos Bilbao said that the main objective for the future is to
promote the exports of pre-packaged natural honney instead of the present main
method of export in bulk. Such change carries an important added value for the
national honneys. Campos said that “the most important value of Argentine
honneys is their quality and the diversity of fower varieties as source of
collection which gives differentiated honneys very much sought after throughout
the world”.
