Para ello se incorporó en el Código de la
Edificación algunas especificaciones tales como, por ejemplo, un espesor mínimo
necesario de tierra para que la vegetación prospere y que debe estar en función
a las especies que conformen la cubierta vegetal.
O que el método de desagüe a utilizar en las
cubiertas de un techo, azotea o terraza verde deberá contar con una correcta impermeabillzacion,
Y que Los “Techos o Terrazas Verdes“, en todos los casos, deben estar separados
de los muros de predios linderos a los efectos de evitar molestias a las
edificaciones colindantes.Desde luego, la ejecución de un “Techo Verde” debe contar
con un cálculo estructural que verifique la resistencia a las cargas que
generen las cubiertas verdes.
Es interesante notar que el Artículo 4º de la ley establece que en las obras nuevas que se realicen en el ámbito de la Ciudad de
Buenos Aires, se aplicarán reducciones
en el pago de los derechos de delineación y construcción a aquellos
trámites que incluyan la construcción de una o más cubiertas vegetales, y que también
gozarán de una reducción en el importe
del Alumbrado, barrido y limpieza.
De esta forma se intenta favorecer esta forma
de jardinería que contribuye a aumentar la superficie verde libre de la ciudad,
constituyendo una mejora de la calidad del aire aumentando el pulmón de la
ciudad.

PROMOTES “GREEN ROOFS”
Bulletin # 39 of News on Environmental and Renewable
Energies, Sep, 2014, reminds that last year the legislature of Buenos Aires
city passed Law # 4.428 about promotion of “green roofs” in new constructions. These are surfaces
of the buildings covered with vegetation, in order to contribute with the urban
environment in a sustainable way.
The law introduced Some specifications in the
city’s Building Code, such as a mínimum depth of soil sufficient for plants to
grow,which are in relation with the species that will constitute the vegetative
cover. Or that the drainage of the green covers will have to have good
impermeabilization, and that in all cases the green cover must be separated a
certain distance from neighbouring walls. Of course, the construction of a
green cover must have been planned counting with good structural calculations
to support the loads produced by soil
and plants.
It is interesting to notice that Art. 4 of
the Law establishes that new buildings in the city limits that are to be
equiped with green roofs will enjoy discounts in several kinds of city taxes, which
will help promoting this desirable practice.
In this way the city authorities intend to
promote the establishment of the green roofs that will contribute to increase
the free green areas of the city, improving the quality of life and the breathing capcity of the urbana area..
