ADAPTACIÓN DE LA AGRICULTURA

RESILIENCIA Y AGRICULTURA INNOVADORA          (ENGLISH VERSION BELOW)

Las nuevas condiciones climáticas inducen a observar la tecnología agrícola con enfoques posiblemente algo diferentes. El Centro de Investigación Orgánica (ORGANIC Research center - ORC) presenta la oportunidad de analizar las distinas circunstancias técnicas y metodológicas de producción a fin de amplificar la resiliencia de los suelos y de los cultivos que en ellos se producen.

Un artículo en Organic Market Magazine (1) informa que el Organic Research Centre y el Simposio Nacional de Suelos de la Soil Association (The Soil Association’s National Soil Symposium), discutirán estos temas el 25-27 de Noviembre de 2014 en Solihull, West Midlands, Inglaterra, concentrándose en la resiliencia de los suelos, es decir, la adaptación flexible a nuevas condiciones climáticas y edáficas.

Algunos de los temas a tratar son, por ejemplo, la integración de la ganadería en sistemas agrícolas y hortícolas, la fruticultura en sistemas agroforestales, las legumbres y los polinizadores, y, muy importante, las herramientas y enfoques para la evaluación de la sustentabilidad.

RESILIENCIA Y AGRICULTURA INNOVADORA

The new climatic conditions suggest that agricultural technology may need a somewhat different approach. The Organic Research Centre (ORC) offers the opportunity of analyzing the different technical and methodological production characteristics in order to amplify the resilience of soils and the crops cultivated on them.

An article in the Organic Market Magazine (1) reports that the Organic Research Centre and The Soil Association’s National Soil Symposium, will hold workshops to discuss these subjects onm November 25-27, 2014 in Solihull, West Midlands, England, with special attention to soil resilience, that is, the flexible adpatation to the new climatic and edafic conditions. 

Some of the subjects to be dealt with are, for example,  integrating livestock into arable

and horticultural systems, fruit/agroforestry, legumes and pollinators and, very important, sustainability assessment tools and approaches.
