Probablemente
el autor más joven del mundo sea Birke Baer, un niño de 13 años que escribió un
libro orgánico para chicos: Birke on the Farm (Birke en la Granja).
Esto
fue informado por el sistema on-line Knoxnews. Birke quiere empezar con la
generación más joven a informarles acerca de la agricultura orgánica, sus
productos y métodos de producción.
Este brillante
muchachito ha estado interesado en la agricultura orgánica desde que tenía 8
años de edad. Con el título del libro "Birke on the Farm", se le diseñó
una página web para él, website .
“Yo quisiera dirigir la atención de los chicos hacia toda la problemática de la producción industrializada de alimentos, y ayudarlos a comprender cómo se producen los alimentos que consumen”, explica Birke Baehr.
Con el libro completamente ilustrado originado en respuesta a la historia del mercurio en el jarabe de maíz, se embarcó en una travesía que lo llevó a ver qué hay detrás de los alimentos industrializados. Luego se las arregló para convencer a sus padres que compraran alimentos orgánicos en el supermercado. Un año atrás dio una corta presentación en una feria comercial que fue subida a YouTube.
Después de que las asociaciones orgánicas se interesaron en él y lo mencionaron, el video fue visto dos millones de veces. Ahora Birke viaja por todo el país dando charlas, pero también mantiene un cercano contacto con varios granjeros orgánicos de manera de poder, más tarde, hacer un apredizaje práctico.

Probably the youngest author worldwide, 13-year-old Birke Baehr
in the US State of Tennessee has written an organic book for children: Birke on
the Farm.
This was reported by the online service Knoxnews. He wants to begin with the
youngest generation and inform them about organic farming, the products and the
methods of production. This bright lad has been keenly interested in organic
farming since he was eight years old. With the title of the book "Birke on
the Farm", he has now had a website designed for him.
“I would like to direct children’s thoughts to the whole topic of industrialised food production and help them to understand how their food is produced,“ Birke Baehr explains.
In the lavishly illustrated book, he recounts how in response to the story of mercury in maize syrup he went on a journey that took him to what lies behind industrialised food production. He then managed to convince his parents to buy different organic food in the supermarket. A year ago, he gave a short speech at a trade fair that was then uploaded onto YouTube.
After organic associations became interested in him and made reference to him, the video was accessed nearly two million times. Now Birke travels throughout the country and gives talks, but he also keeps in close contact with several organic farmers, so that later he can take up an apprenticeship.
