Spain’s Economical and Trade office in Shanghai reported that the Agriculture and Rural Development UE Commissar, Dacian Ciolos , and the Chinese representative of the Quality, Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine Administration (AQSIQ), Zhi Shuping, started talks towards the recognition of the organic products in both markets. 
It is worth mentioning that the European Union already have an agreement with the US unifying the organic certification between the two markets, simplifying and facilitating trade of organic products. They already have similar agreements with Canada, Switzerland and Japan.
Both administrations committed themselves to review their organic regulations, looking for common standards and controls that will allow to create a cooperation framework in the long term.
During the first stage they will seek the recognition of both norms on organic products. In this sense, they will set up debate forums on legislation, standarization and similar matters.

La Oficina Económica y Comercial de España en Shanghai informó que el comisario europeo de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural, Dacian Ciolos y el responsable chino de la Administración de Calidad, Supervisión, Inspección y Cuarentena (AQSIQ), Zhi Shuping iniciaron conversaciones para que los productos orgánicos de ambos mercados reciban el mismo reconocimiento en el comercio entre la Unión Europea y el país asiático. 
Cabe recordar que la Unión Europea ya tiene un acuerdo con EE.UU, el cual unifica la certificación orgánica entre ambos mercados, simplificando y facilitando el comercio de este tipo de productos. A este se suma el que la Comisión Europea tiene con Canadá, Suiza y Japón.
El organismo español detalló que las dos administraciones se han comprometido a revisar sus regulaciones en la materia y a buscar estándares y controles comunes que faciliten el comercio de estos productos, que permitan crear un marco de cooperación a largo plazo.
Durante la primera etapa buscarán el reconocimiento de las normativas sobre los productos orgánicos. Para ello, pondrán en marcha foros de debate sobre la legislación, estandarización y cuestiones afines
